Oats have long been used in horse feed, and rightly so, as they offer fantastic benefits. They contain a balanced mix of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, and fiber. These nutrients are essential for the horse's overall health. Unlike other grains, they contain no gluten, making them more easily digestible and better tolerated. The fiber in oats promotes healthy digestion and helps prevent gastrointestinal problems.
Furthermore, it is characterized by its low glycemic index. This means that the starch contained in the grain causes blood sugar levels to rise only slowly. As a result, energy is available for a longer period, thus relieving the burden on the pancreas.
Our organic oats are also harvested earlier and optimally dried in our drying facility to ensure optimal microbiology.
