Note on the current batch of our Cobs

With the current batch of our cobs, there may be isolated cases of longer soaking times.

This does not represent a reduction in quality and has no influence on the composition, nutrient content or safety of the product. The cobs are, of course, suitable for unrestricted feeding.

We only ask that you allow a little more time for soaking if necessary.

 

Our Elmengrunder Premium ORGANIC Hemp Cobs are a supplementary feed for horses and ponies. They consist of plant-based raw materials from controlled organic cultivation and can be fed as part of a varied ration. They can be optimally combined with other feedingstuffs.

    Storage recommendation:

    The organic hemp cobs should
    Store in a cool, dry place to maintain the best quality for your horse. Make sure to close the bag properly after feeding or transfer the contents to a suitable container. This will protect the cobs from contamination by small animals such as mice and birds.

    Feeding recommendation:

    Basic care: 10 - 15g per 100kg target weight

    • Please soak in water before feeding.
    • If the cobs are not soaked, there is a risk of esophageal obstruction.
    • Soaking time approx. 15-20 minutes
    • Suitable as a food topping
    • Since hemp contains natural cannabinoids such as CBD, it cannot be ruled out that it is a non-ADMR-compliant feed.
      For competition horses, we therefore recommend an alternative feeding regime as a precautionary measure.

    Basically, you can subscribe to any products that are packaged in a bag or bottle.

    Some of you ride in competitions. Therefore, you must pay attention to withdrawal periods and ADMR rules when feeding.

    We have compiled a table for you listing the products relevant to anti-doping regulations. Please note that regulations are subject to change, so always check well in advance of participating in a tournament to find out which feeds you can safely give your horses. Products not on the list are permitted without restrictions, subject to change.
